Also known as a ferry cap screw, a twelve point flange bolt offers an alternative head design for a standard hex bolt. The twelve point design permits greater torque to be applied to the screw and reduces rounding out of the hex head that sometimes occurs with standard hex cap screws. A flange built into the bottom of the head also greatly distributes the bearing load and acts as a non spinning washer. These bolts conform to IFI-115.
